"Designer" Handkerchief
By designer handkerchief, we don't mean anything related to the designer stuff. It is the design created by the young creative minds that will increase the value of the grandma/grandpa's hanky!

Things Required
  • Plain White Handkerchief
  • Wax Crayons
  • 2 Damp Cloths
  • Iron
Procedure:
  • Use wax crayons to make designs on the plain hanky. Draw something that you can relate to your grandparents.
  • Place the handkerchief in between the two damp cloths. This is to iron the hanky.
  • Here, you will require an adult's help. Ask him/her to press the hanky with a warm iron. Ensure that the iron is not too hot.
  • When the warm iron is pressed on the hanky, wax crayon will slowly melt, leaving behind permanent stains of the dye, making beautiful design on the hanky.
  • The final result is a beautiful permanent design on your customized handkerchief!
Eggcarton Flowers
Have you ever thought about making a bouquet out of the wasteful egg cartons? If not, then read on and know how to make a beautiful bouquet of eggshell flowers.

Things required:
  • 3-4 Egg Cartons
  • Pipe Cleaners (green in color)
  • Water Color or Paint
  • Black or Brown Permanent Marker
  • White Craft Glue
Procedure:
  • Thoroughly clean the egg cartons and cut them in the form of your favorite flowers. To make the project easier, cut them in the shape of little tulips.
  • Paint them in and out, using water color. Allow them to dry completely.
  • When the flowers are completely dry, add some detail to them, using the permanent markers.
  • Now, twist one end of the pipe cleaners into a spiral shape
  • Glue the flowers to the spiral shaped pipe cleaners.
  • Your eggshell flowers are ready to be gifted!
